Furneys Cattle Weaner Pellets is a ration for weaners to help maximise daily weight gains.

High Quality Protein For Improved Growth Rate – Containing premium and high quality proteins for improved growth rates. Ingredients are sourced from cereal grains, legumes and high quality protein meals.

Supplement Feeding – Feeding heifers as a supplement to pasture in lick feeders or commonly used in a program to take weaner steers through to the supermarket trade.

The Right Balance of Vitamins and Trace Minerals – Fortified with essential vitamin E to improve meat quality and health, as well as trace minerals to benefit cattle with long-term feeding.

Molassed – Contains molasses to control fines and product losses, and also as an attractant.

Pellet Size can be Adjusted on Order (i.e. trail feed, lick feeders or pen trough)

Feeding Guide

Furneys Cattle Weaner Pellets are to be introduced slowly and build up to 1% of body weight plus 2% of good quality hay in the first week. Over the next two week period increase pellets until feeding approx. 2.2% of body weight and 0.8% of good quality hay. If supplementary feeding, access the Dry Matter of your pasture and adjust lick feeders to increase or decrease availability. If not fed daily into troughs and control intake.

Feeding Management

If feeding heifers, we recommend small numbers per feeding station or lick feeder. Numbers over 40 head exacerbate bullying. The term shy feeder doesn’t exist, the heifer is bullied away from the feeding station or lick feeder. Separating will provide an even growth rate through mobs.
